Suspicious Circumstances

11/27/2017 10:46 p.m. – An officer talked to a person who left a suspicious note in the Rasmusson Library.

11/29/2017 8:56 p.m. – A man was spotted in the Rasmusson Library with “something hanging from pants.” The man could not be found, but video footage was reviewed and the investigation is ongoing.

12/1/17 7:18 a.m. – A man was making irrational statements in the Gruening building, then started yelling at an officer who arrived to check on him. The man was trespassed from UAF.

12/5/2017 6:29 p.m. – A homeless man was found camping out in the Murie building lobby. His belongings were gathered and he was trespassed from the area. He had been formerly trespassed from other areas on campus.

12/6/2017 12:13 a.m. – A student near Wickersham Hall was dumping water onto the road using a trash can. An officer responded and Residence Life will have a follow-up discussion with the student discussing this and prior issues.

Theft

11/29/2017 11:52 a.m. – The bike seat was stolen from a bike outside Wood Center sometime between the Nov. 21-28. An officer is investigating.

Traffic Stop

11/30/2017 4:00 a.m. – During a traffic stop for failing to signal, a passenger was found to be drunk and violating the conditions of their release. Sameen S. Bhullar, 22, of Fairbanks, was arrested and taken to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

Harassing Communications

11/30/2017 3:51 p.m. – A student reported having been harassed by another student over the past three months. The dean of students was contacted for follow-up.

Agency Assist

12/2/2017 2:09 p.m. – A snow machine driver near the agriculture farm railroad tracks was reported as needing medical help. A UAF officer found them, and an ambulance transported them to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

Welfare Check

12/4/2017 7:31 a.m. – Two calls were made to the UAFPD about a drunk person in Wickersham Hall. Officer discovered the person calling was using the police to follow an ex partner. The person was told that their behavior would not be tolerated, that they couldn’t contact their ex, and was trespassed.

12/5/2017 10:44 a.m. – An officer talked to a person who was placing pieces of paper on the windshields of cars in the Eielson building parking lot.

Criminal Trespass

12/4/2017 7:31 a.m. – UAF Police were informed of a restraining order, and worked with the person providing it in order to enforce it.
