Police Blotter: September 18-24
9/24/2017 2:27 a.m. – Two people were reported to be involved in a domestic violence incident by Resident Assistants at Skarland Hall. The male was trespassed from campus and he was transported off university property, while the female was released to her room. Both were given Title IX information and booklets on domestic violence. The Dean of Students and the District Attorney were contacted.
9/19/2017 1:54 a.m. – Two bicycles were found at the Community Technical College in the entryway and in the garage. The bikes were taken to the UAFPD for safekeeping.
9/21/2017 2:10 a.m. – An accident resulted in a car on it’s side near the Agricultural Farm entryway. Christian W. McCurdy, 25 of Fairbanks, was arrested and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center for driving under the influence.
9/19/2017 1:48 a.m. – An RA discovered vomit on the floor in Moore Hall and the responding officer found an intoxicated student, who was brought to their room to sleep it off and cited for being a minor consuming alcohol.
9/23/2017 11:58 p.m. – An intoxicated woman in the MBS lobby was unable to stand up. An officer located the woman laying on the ground near a walking path. Responding medical services backed an ambulance into a stop sign before delivering the woman to a hospital. The woman was cited as a minor consuming alcohol.
9/24/2017 1:34 a.m. – A man and woman were reported to be intoxicated, crying, and yelling by a MacLean House RA. The female was cited for being a minor consuming alcohol. The male has been trespassed from campus and is being charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor.
9/18/2017 12:18 p.m. – A university employee reported a fake email account being created by someone pretending to be a university employee. An officer investigated and a report was filed to the Internet Crime Complaint Center.
9/23/2017 11:35 p.m. – A driver at Starvation Gulch was reported to be shouting obscenities and threats while revving their engine. An officer collected information and is following up.
9/21/2017 8:37 p.m. – A juvenile male stole a vehicle from the West Valley parking lot and drove into the trees near the Cold Climate Housing Research Center. The father of the vehicle owner is having the car towed and the juvenile is being charged with vehicle theft and driving without a valid license.
