Tuesday, January 30

Do you like opera? Well, tomorrow at Regal Cinemas on Airport Way there will be two showings of Tosca at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. So why not put on fancy attire, grab tiny binoculars from the antique shop or Value Village off of Airport Way, and enjoy the musings of the Metropolitan Opera. – Cheyenne Corty / Layout Editor

Wednesday, January 31

In this present climate of “fake news” and ignorant political opinions being just one tweet away, it might be a good idea to be educated by experts who actually know what they’re talking about. The Bartlett Lectures Series is an event that brings nationally and internationally renown individuals together to present lectures on a number of different topics such as human resources, politics, economics, and social change. So if you want to be part of a greater discussion, come to the Wood Center at 9 p.m. Alex Frenia / Photo Editor

Latin Dance Club (LCD) is a free student-run club that allows students to join and learn to dance. They meet in the Wood Center Tri area near ASUAF every Thursday at 7 p.m. – Ali Macrae / Staff Reporter

Over 21? Then head to the UAF Pub, located on the first floor of the Wood Center, for Beer Olympics, starting at 8 p.m., and hosted by Midnight Sun Brewing Company. Free to play, there are a total of 8 events, all from which you can win prizes! And if beer isn’t for you, then purchase a glass of wine or a hard cider, sit back and watch others participate. – Caitlin Miller / Managing Editor

Saturday, February 3

We’ve been back on campus for a few weeks and (for some of us) it means we’re back to studying over the weekend to make it to graduation. If you’re looking for a new study spot, the Engineering Building opened up a new coffee stand that I hear is worth swinging by, so maybe grab the homework for those pesky, required classes and head over today. – Kyrie Long / Editor-in-Chief

Sunday, February 4

If you’re into sports then you probably already have today planned out for the Super Bowl. If not, then today is a great day to get a bunch of snack foods and have an in-day. Get all of your homework done early, then sit inside and relax. If you don’t want to watch the Super Bowl, watch Netflix or movies. Take the day off, you’ve earned it with all your hard work so far this semester. – Ben Ellis / Web Editor

Monday, February 5

Today from 1-3 p.m. there will be a Faculty Senate Meeting in the Wood Center Carol Brown Ballroom. Drop by and get involved with what’s going on with faculty and campus.
