Sun Star Picks, Sept. 19-25

Tuesday, September 19

Adam West, the bold Batman of the 1960s, may have died earlier this year, but today was his birthday. If you’ve been a long time Batman fan like me, maybe take today to put on an episode of the old “Batman” series and remember what made it so special: the lightheartedness, the ridiculous jokes, and the “Bright Knight” himself.

It’s National Comic Book Day (not to be confused with National Free Comic Book Day). I suggest supporting a local business and swinging by The Comic Shop any time from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. If you stop by 3rd Street near the AK Buffet, stop on in and you may even see me there, sandwiched between the shelves and staring enviously at the pristine copies of “Batman: Black and White.”
