Chinese New Year Celebration 2024
From Rosalind Kan, the advisor of the UAF Chinese L & C club:
This year is the year of the Dragon. The Chinese Language and Culture (Chinese L & C) club, a UAF student club is preparing for the Dragon year celebration.
As in the past years this event will start with a fabulous buffet dinner and follow with a colorful entertainment program filled with Chinese dances, songs, violin playing, Gu Zheng Music, Chinese opera, comical skits, Chinese martial arts and a couple more.
Besides adult and child tickets, we added a 3rd category for students for $15 to encourage UAF students and young adults' participation.

Klondike Drag Coming to UAF Pub
From 7:00 to 10:00 PM this Saturday, April 15th, 2023, performers from Fairbanks’ own Klondike Drag will be performing at the Wood Center Pub here on campus. Hosted by Miss Oasis and featuring incredible performers such as IceWatah, Avery Whytman, and Osha Violation, this will undoubtedly be an event to remember.
Medium Build Show at UAF Pub
Indie fans rejoice! Medium Build is coming to Fairbanks. The band is headed by Nick Carpenter, and hails from nearby Anchorage. Medium Build cannot entirely be defined by one genre— drawing from indie, R&B, pop, grunge, and more. Their songs are marked by raw emotion blended with melodic lyricism. Medium Build will be playing two shows in Fairbanks, the first on Friday, February 3rd at the UAF Pub, accompanied by Once&Future, and again on Saturday, February 4th at Venue/FBX Beer with opening act Heart Machine (who you may remember from their crowd moving performance at the Pub back in September). Both shows are 21+, and ticket prices can be found on the venues’ websites. Get your tickets soon— these shows are bound to be ~vivacious~.
