Indie-rock band Bad Bad Hats played The Pub at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Wood Center on October 15, 2022. Their band name was inspired by Madeline and the Bad Hat by Ludwig Bemelmans where a troublemaking boy deemed a “Bad Hat” vexes a little girl named Madeline while charming others.

The band's sound is a smooth mix of punk and pop with fun and often abstract lyrics. The Bad Bad Hats started as a college duo by the name of Kerry and Hoge but soon added Connor to their roll. The Minnesota band began touring in 2012, releasing their debut album It Hurts in 2013.
Currently the Bad Bad Hats are touring their new album Walkman.
