Print Issue and Moonplanet Magazine

This February, for the first time in years, The Sun Star will be released as a print issue!

Print issues can be found throughout UAF’s campus and within some of our community’s small businesses, as well as at a few UA satellite campuses around Alaska. Upcoming print issues will be released once a month for the remainder of the semester.

We will be accepting work from anyone in the UAF community, not limited to the Fairbanks location. For more information on submission guidelines check out the ‘Write For Us’ section of our website.

In addition, we are happy to announce the launch of The Sun Star’s new sister magazine, Moonplanet!

Moonplanet is our arts publication, which will print in monthly issues, featuring art submitted by UAF students and community members. The goal is to provide a low-cost way of printing creative material, and to help artists find a platform to get more eyes on their work. We are looking for creativity of all kinds, from limericks to puzzles to margin doodles.

While Moonplanet accepts artistic writing, it is not primarily a literary journal and we encourage literary writers to submit to Ice Box. For more information on the Moonplanet and how to submit please email nmcintyre2@alaska.edu.
