Police Blotter: Assault Reports Increased

Within the 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report, data showed that statutory rape increased by two reports after several years of having zero reports. There were two reported victims of statutory rape, with 21 sexual encounters. Drug abuse arrests increased by 11 reports over the last two years. Although the liquor law arrests reduced by half in comparison to prior years, there were still 48 disciplinary referrals given out on campus in 2023. Domestic violence has slightly increased by one report with stalking rising in 2023. It is important to remember that there are resources on campus available such as the Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability (ORCA) where students can file reports regarding actions that occur on campus.
