Meet the Fairbanks Borough Candidates Before October 1 Election
At the Wood Center on September 16, the Honors College and ASUAF welcomed the Fairbanks North Star Borough candidates for the forthcoming municipal election for a panel discussion. There were fifteen candidates present, and the event kicked off with each of them giving a one-minute autobiography and mission statement.
Borough Votes That Farm Buildings Will No Longer Be Taxed
On Oct. 3, Fairbanks North Star Borough residents voted in favor of Proposition 2, which will exempt some farmers from paying property taxes on their buildings.
